The DuraMAX Liquid Armor Engine Warranty is a limited warranty where RelaDyne, Inc. will reimburse you at reasonable cost for the repair or replacement of more than 15 engine parts that fail as a direct primary result of the DuraMAX lubricant used.
To qualify for the DuraMAX Liquid Armor Engine Warranty, you must meet the following criteria:
No. DuraMAX prides itself on being superior motor oil. Because of the quality of our products we can stand behind them with the DuraMAX Liquid Armor Engine Warranty. If you use DuraMAX and change your oil regularly, your engine should not break down due to the oil used. But if it does, DuraMAX has you covered when you enroll in our Limited Engine Warranty.
This limited warranty covers more than 15 engine parts, including:
Pistons and rings, timing chain, rods and rod bearings, cam shaft and bearings, oil pump, wrist pins and bearings, cylinder lining and bore turbo bearings, timing gears / sprockets, crankshaft and bearings, valve lifters, distributor drive, gear rocker arms and pivot push rods, valve stems and guides (excluding grinding adjustments).
The total limit of liability for a claim or claims related to your vehicle is $3,000. In no event shall the payment of any claim exceed the fair market value of your vehicle. See Terms & Conditions for more information.
To apply for this warranty, complete the Enrollment form (except in states where registration is not required) by clicking here. Upon completion of the enrollment process, a Statement of Warranty will be issued for you to print for your records. The Statement of Warranty will have on it the information you filled in, including your vehicle’s vehicle identification number and odometer reading, both are important information for eligibility in the warranty.
The DuraMAX Liquid Armor Engine Warranty takes effect 90 days after your first eligible purchase of DuraMAX motor oil or 3,000 miles after your first DuraMAX motor oil installation, whichever occurs last.
As long as you comply with the terms and conditions, this limited warranty covers the engine parts listed above that fail as a direct primary result of lubrication related failure from the time you were eligible for this limited warranty up to as follows:
An “Eligible Vehicle” is a privately owned or leased (if you are primarily obligated for repairs and maintenance) passenger car, van, SUV or light truck with a gross vehicular weight of 10,000 pounds or less, an odometer reading of fewer than 100,000 miles at the time of the first use of DuraMAX motor oil, and a manufactured date within the last 60 months of your first use of DuraMAX motor oil.
Vehicles used, registered, modified, or leased for commercial, off-road or agricultural, emergency, delivery, or competitive purpose do not qualify for this limited warranty. Vehicles subject to abnormal driving conditions or used in any manner not recommended by the vehicle manufacturer also do not qualify.
No. The warranty will not guarantee a vehicle that has been modified due to the unknown effect modifications could have on the engine’s performance.
Each DuraMAX Warranty account set up can have up to two (2) vehicles enrolled in the program. An account is signified by the username (email address) used to enroll in the Warranty.
No, by state law you are not required to register online. But with online registration, you’ll receive oil change reminders via email as well as coupons from your Authorized DuraMAX Installer to help you maintain your warranty.
Yes. In order to keep your Warranty from becoming void, you will need to change your vehicle’s oil exclusively and continuously with DuraMAX motor oil, and the DuraMAX motor oil must be properly installed.
To keep your Warranty from voiding, change your vehicle’s motor oil at least one time per year and as often as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer (or before every 7500 miles, whichever occurs first).
If your vehicle’s manufacturer recommends a mileage interval greater than 7500 miles, you will need to change your vehicle’s motor oil using DuraMAX synthetic motor oil at least one time per year and as often as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer (or before every 10,000 miles, whichever occurs first).
Yes. One of the main functions of motor oil is to remove contaminants and combustion by-products from the engine by holding them in suspension. Although synthetic motor oils are designed to provide better protection under extreme heat and heavy loads, any oil will reach a saturation point where it can no longer hold the contaminants and protect the engine from them.
Not necessarily. To keep your Warranty from voiding, you will need to follow your vehicle’s manufacturer recommendations, change your vehicle’s oil before 7500 miles, or at least once a year, whichever occurs first.
Yes! Following your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation is a great way to maintain your DuraMAX Liquid Armor Engine Warranty.
Yes. To maintain warranty coverage, you must change your vehicle’s oil and oil filter at least as often as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Yes. You will need to follow all scheduled engine maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer. Service your vehicle’s engine in the service classification and viscosity grade as recommended by the manufacturer. Change the oil and oil filter at least as often and as recommended by the manufacturer. Maintain your vehicle’s emission control system in compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendation. Replace your vehicle’s air filter and air cleaner elements at least as often as recommended by the manufacturer.
Yes! Your receipts are your proof of purchase of DuraMAX motor oil and will be required if you ever need to make a claim.
Yes. The retention and legibility of your service/purchase receipts are very important. Should you ever have the need to submit a claim, we will need to clearly identify from your receipts that DuraMAX motor oil and a new oil filter were purchased, any manufacturer required services were performed and the mileage at time of service and complete vehicle information.
You can transfer this warranty before your vehicle has been driven 125,000 miles, but only if the person you transfer it to has copies of your receipts or can prove your compliance with the terms of this limited warranty.
The new owner will complete the online Enrollment form using the Vehicle Identification Number of the vehicle under warranty. From there, he/she will approve the new ownership, and you as the previous owner will receive an email verifying the transfer. If the transfer was made in error, you will be asked to contact DuraMAX immediately.
This warranty is transferrable before the vehicle has been driven 125,000 miles, but only if you have copies of receipts or can prove the previous owner’s compliance with the terms of this limited warranty.
As new owner, you can complete the online Enrollment form using the Vehicle Identification Number of the vehicle under warranty. From there, you can approve the new ownership, and a verification email will be sent to the previous owner. If this transfer was made in error, the previous owner will contact us immediately to resolve the issue.
To file a claim under this warranty, notify DuraMAX no later than 30 days after the date of any damage. Notification must be done by mail.

RelaDyne is only responsible for repairs it approves and may, at its own expense, conduct further investigation to determine the cause of the claimed problem and your eligibility. If you have complied with all of the terms and conditions of the DuraMAX Liquid Armor Engine Warranty, RelaDyne will approve the claim and make payment after the repairs are completed.

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is an alphanumeric code assigned by the manufacturer that is a unique identifier for each vehicle. This is commonly found on your vehicle insurance card, your vehicle’s registration paper, and imprinted below your front windshield.
It is a unique identifier for your vehicle that will help us speed up the claims process in the unlikely event you need to file a claim. It is critical that the VIN is entered correctly so we can match your maintenance records to the enrolled vehicle.
